Help! I post neck surgery 10
Days.. I’ve really not had much of an appetite so I have not been eating much at all.. like a coffee around 8am, a premier protein shake around 10 then honestly nothing at all til dinner which is typically a salad. And it may be a bigger sized salad but it’s only lettuce, cukes, tomatoes, a little shredded cheese, sometimes chicken pieces, croutons and I mix hot sauce ( usually wing sauce only 25 calories per serving) with whatever dressing typically ranch but am pretty careful wil this size there too. So even if it has 800 calories to 1000 I’m still only eating under 1200 a day. I literally feel full most of the day and have to force myself to even eat that salad ( is Usually I’ll have a can of light progresso soup for 200
Calories or less)! Why can’t I lose even a pound in these two weeks. I am very frustrated! I’m eating less than I did before surgery and
trying to get out walk as much as I can. What else can I do? Should I be worried? Is it a retaining issue or a constpation issue?( yes that’s been a small issue) please send advice. Everything I eat is pretty healthy.. low carb Not excessive protein but higher, no sweets, love veggies, I’ve changed my lifestyle a lot already and lost60 pounds but I have 50 to go and I’m stuck please help!

Your body may just be holding on to every ounce in order to allow itself to heal. Watch sodium closely. Might just be water weight.

I'm sorry. Sounds frustrating! I'm sure it is just "digestive issues" along with inflammation from the surgery. Your body will take more time to flush all of that out and you'll see the numbers start heading down. Keep eating! Watch your sodium levels. You've got this.
