just completed about a week of healthy eating. i feel really good about my food choices. i have been making my own food rather than eating with the family so that really helps cause then i choose what and how many calories i want to consume. i have not really been putting certain foods off limits but in keeping low calorie i haven't indulged in many sweets this last week. it's an easy way to cut out excess. but it is the holidays after all so i should allow for some treats. i'm just making sure i really want them now. i know i can keep this up. i went down 4 lbs so that's really great. i started exercising too and started the couch to 5k. things are improving. i ate out a couple times this week too and i made reasonably healthy choices. my favorite places to eat out for "fast food" are chipotle and jimmy johns. at chipotle it is still a pretty high calorie meal but i can make room for it if i eat light for the other meals in a day. the turkey tom at jimmy johns is my favorite (without mayo) is 322 calories. i think that's awesome for an 8" sub and really filling. i got a digital food scale a while back and just started using it - pretty fun and very enlightening!
