Thanx everyone for all the kind words! I have never ever thought I would ever be an inspiration to someone else one day! I think I need to inspire myself to keep it up in future! After we were in hard lockdown level 5 here in South Africa I was 62 kg again on 8 June 2020 🙈 and then I decided to try a different approach. No more keto. No more food weighing. No more counting calories. No more "just protein and no carbs" ... Yes to 30 mins walking a day. And I really stick to a very healthy eating plan for 14 days and then I discovered it IS actually possible to loose weight when you eat fruit ... as much as you want to! PLUS I had a Gin and Tonic every single night - ok it was sugarfree tonic but still! The truth is ... after those 2 weeks I realised one can cheat and it is NOT the end of the world then - but the next day I really tried to eat healthy again - I think that helped a lot! Often when you start cheating - you just continue ... and that is where most of us fell off the wagon! Dont throw in the towell after one bad day - just get back on track the next day! It is OK to have a glass of wine and a chocolate and a slice of cake some days. But not every day! I never felt deprived or demotivated after I cheated the last 5 months - with Keto it would have kicked me out of ketosis straight away and I would have to wait another week before you are back in ketosis. I soon realised that Keto just didnt work for me anymore! But everybody is different - you have to eat what works for you! And cheat now and then - but dont continue the next day with the cheating! My first 2 weeks basically looked like this: 2 or 3 boiled / fried / eggs and a huge grapefruit and black filter coffee in the morning. Lunch was fruit salad - whatever I want to throw in and no matter how big or how much. Dinner was a huge steak + 2 veggies (I fried green beans in olive oil with my steak) plus a huge salad with lettuce, tomatoe, cucumber, apples, peppers and carrots ... and of course m Gin & Tonic!! Good luck - and dont quit!!
