Up 6 pounds from my stall point of 236. Now 242 this morning. Been totally out of control. Had PBJ for breakfast again this morning. Been up a couple of hours and thinking about going back to bed. NO motivation. Been letting the housework go and just playing Scrabble online all day. Yeah, I think I'll go back to bed!

If you start the day well, like maybe doing one bit of housework, it could lead on to you doing something else constructive. So you don't fee bad about yourself and you dont write the day off, and I am saying this as a person who totally recognises what you have just said. I hope you fight the Doldrums x Christmas 2019, I make my own Kefir. :D

I agree with the comments. Sometimes our emotions rule us so no matter how hard we try to focus on our eating habits it demotivates us even more. Listening to music going for a stroll outside, watching a good movie, even having a good cry or writing it all down does help. First focus on doing things other than focusing on what you eat. Make your next goal not food-related. Walking for 15 minutes and increasing it by a minute a day. Slowly as you feel more in control these other things replace the need for emotional eating.

On a funny note. I am so glad our system is in kilograms rather than pounds. When I convert my weight to pounds.....

@nolimits is right on! Debbie, I’ve just started my journey but I’ve noticed that sometimes I become so preoccupied by what I eat that I forget the rest of my life! And enjoying my life is one of the reasons I’ve changed my eating habits in the first place! Pay attention to what you need *outside* of what you eat; food is a small piece of the life you live, the life you should love ❤️ It sounds like your mind needs something it is missing; I doubt it is solely what you’re eating. For a couple years now when I get down (and believe me, I can get dooowwwn), I make a list of what I’ve accomplished that day. It can be as simple as: I got out of bed, I took the stairs, I called my friend, I gave myself a compliment, I wrote a couple sentences in my journal, I let myself cry, I let myself laugh.... your daily achievements are endless! These small accomplishments slowly boost my self-esteem and all of a sudden my accomplishments become bigger and bigger! The small things absolutely do matter. You are not alone in your struggles. I know you don’t know me, but please know that I believe in you and am cheering you on.

Debbie, here are my suggestions....lock up, throw away, give away the peanut butter & foods that tempt you to over eat or stray from your WOE. Replace them with foods that fit your WOE. Do things that make you feel better about yourself....get outside, call a friend, play with your grandchildren. You had 3 successful weeks, so you know YOU CAN DO THIS! If you're bored with bacon & eggs find keto replacements that you can alternate. Love yourself enough to believe getting healthier is worth it!

Dont give up Debbie, hang in there. Keep good snacks around you, drink soda water, it bloats you and tricks you into fullness. You are here so it shows that you have motivation...

Agree with SherryeB; if you don't buy it, you won't have it on hand to eat. That said, I would suggest discussing with your doctor adding a Super B supplement vitamin to your routine. Taking one daily has helped me to manage my "downs" much better than prescription meds ever did. As we get older, our bodies do not always metabolize the nutrients we need as well from our food; sometimes, a supplement can help fill the gap. ((((((hugs)))))) You are so worth this journey you are making!
