Annyone have opinion on fasting? I had cup of soup but when I dont excercise I feel guilty eating.

First time didn’t go so well for me, I think my diet was wrong. If you exercise in a fasted state (consider IF 16:8) you become a fat burning furnace. Practicing mindfulness and self control with fasting is awesome plus restricting to 20g max carbs a day is also really fulfilling. This is my second round and I’m very happy with the results! Well... will see on Wednesday 😄🙈 feel guilty don’t feel guilty, it’s all part of it

I've been fasting for two years now. I learnt most of what has helped me by watching Thomas Delauer on YouTube. he explains a lot of topics that will help you understand the science behind it... and will alleviate your guilt. fasting is not about not eating. fasting is not about starving yourself. fasting is about eating at the right times so that your body uses the fuel in the most efficient way possible. he discusses topics around fasting for women. the kinds of foods to eat to best break your fast. fasting periods and the different benefits of the different time zones. knowledge is power.

Everything Shereen said! Fasting does TWO things. Decide if either or both are your goal. FASTING: 1) causes weight loss due to automatic calorie reduction (less time to eat) 2) allows your body to heal and rejuvenate(autophagy) which is anti aging etc etc However IF you still manage to eat excessive calories when you do eat, you won't lose weight. If you don't eat nutritious and filling calories, you will be feeling sick, hangry and deprived! This defeats goal #1. So what Shereen says is spot on. If you fasting for the benefits of autophagy, then eating timing and exact nutrition is the way to maximize this benefit. Poor food choices will defeat goal #2. I did intermittent fasting for a while some time ago and it helped me lose weight quickly but when I ate poorly, I was often hangry and unhealthy. When I started eating better foods, I was energetic and never felt deprived. Do it like Shereen advises and it will benefit you. I also watch Thomas Delauer on YouTube.

Thank you for all the advice, much appreciated, I weigh on Saturday, will see how that goes, I have gained so much weight with the lockdown.
