I got back from a kick butt awesome swim! I am excited about it. The longest I have gone before was 24 lengths (12 laps) but I did 48 tonight in a little over 30 min. My triathlon swim will be 1/2 mile which is 35 lengths. I did that in around 26 min. I was really out of breath as usual toward the beginning of my swim and was trying to work through it with different strokes, etc. Then something interesting happened. I started listening to the water/ breathing pattern and found a good pattern and when I really got into the groove of that, I was able to keep going without a problem. I have never experienced that before and the breathing was always the biggest problem. I could have gone more but had to get home for dinner. So that was exciting and gave me a lot of hope that I can do it!
I had a great day today overall. The downside was something got me a little upset and I found myself eating 3 cookies. I guess I do emotionally eat. I'm too sensitive with some stuff and need to not let little things bother me. Then my husband made dinner so I could swim and was hungry when I got home and ate too much. Other than that, it was a good day.
