Today I went closet shopping. I tried on clothes I've had for more than 20 years. Some actually fit! A lot of stuff did not. I have a lovely cranberry suit that the skirt fits, but not the top! I was trying to throw things out. I have a few outfits that I can't seem to give away. Some things fit, but a bit on the tight side. It is a confirmation of where I am weight-wise. I am almost back to where I was a year ago. Maybe 5 lbs heavier, but then when I was dieting last year, I started about 5 or 10 lbs lighter. Back then I was always hovering around 150, but could never seem to get below. My goal this time is to break that barrier and stay closer to 145 or even 140. I do know that after going through my closet I'm still not ready to go real clothes shopping, but the wedding is this coming Saturday. It's going to be a very busy week. Lunch with a friend tomorrow (unsure what I'll eat, hopefully they will have a healthy soup on the menu), then 3 separate appointments throughout the week. I will have to schedule a few shopping times in before Friday. Although I've been known to shop at the last minute. I actually hate shopping more than anything in the world. Probably because when your fat, it's simply not fun. I only remember a few times in my life when I enjoyed it, and every time I was fairly thin and everything seemed to look great.
