I’ve spent the entire day outside making a container garden on my back deck. The hubs and I hauled 50 lb bags of dirt, just about every pot and large container I own and plants for 6 plus hours. We planted 5 tomato plants in their own 5 gallon pots, patio cucumbers, sweet peppers, two large metal wash tubs full of strawberries for next year, and separate tubs of lettuce, spinach, and basil. I am hoping to get some blueberry and raspberry bushes put in and my volunteer wild blackberries should come back this summer. My daughter also wants me to include the avocado plant we grew from a seed in my journal. I have no idea if it will ever grow anything in East Tennessee but we will give it a go. It’s about 18 inches tall. What a great day to be stuck at home. This is the first year in a long long time that we have tried to grow anything. 🤗
