My wife’s from Chicago and she loves snow! We hardly ever get it in Washington, but Alaska is a different story.

Today it was lack of hair because I had a warm coat, but no hat. Good helped. The cold may affect my hands the most (no gloves)

Super great photo! How many hours of daylight are ya getting up there? I'm guessing getting dark by 3ish? I love the snow not the cold so much! Keep your hands warm!

Thanks everyone! It is a beautiful place. I’m mainly just seeing the city, but the flight in was great for sightseeing.

I was surprised that it was still daylight at 6 pm, but it’s been dark this morning. Sunrise appears to be 8:20. Much more daylight in Anchorage and we are getting close to March, so they are adding many minutes of daylight each day (7 minutes each day, I think)

That is surprising! I thought it would be darker still, but I have never been to Alaska just Northern Manitoba and Siberia in the summer. It is amazing to have sun for all but a few hours! FYI, I made 2.5 miles in 25 minutes on the dot this morning!!! I'm so happy! I'm getting there! 😊

That’s awesome! I’ve been to Fairbanks in December and they see about an hour of daylight then.
