I am fluctuating between 154 & 156 - Can't seem to stick to low carbs but am watching intake nevertheless in terms of calories and no real bad carbs.......It's tough to get tough with myself, so I'm in the game but not playing with a totally clean deck so far as reducing carbs.....no junk food at all, just wholesome food with carbs adding up.......It's not my bad habit of wanting to stay at this weight -maintaining- I just can't seem to get it all together. I am fully aware that I need to get down to 140. I think I am stubborn about those carbs. I have to go over my diet calandar and see just what carbs I AM eating. I know for the past 2 days it has been Wendy's chili and huge baked potatoe. The white potatoe does not seem to make me want to eat more in the way of carbs-Oh well, I am really just "thinking" here....

OOPS! I forgot about the glycemic index which I was reminded of on this site while reading journals tonight. I think I have it licked now! Starting tomorrow, I check on those numbers (GI) which I have forgotten to do for quite a while now.....

Yes, that potato is very high on the GI but if you mixed it up with the chili it would lower the effect of that jolt.

yep, ImLuuvd told me that she thought she might have lost her weight faster because she always ate low GL food choices. Now Im taking a closer look at them and its working! For my fruit, right now the best in season that is low GI.. is cherries and peaches and I love both of those! I also make sure to always eat them WITH protein. I know you will work this out. It's probably just a tiny little adjustment that will get you moving again
