got paid yesterday, and after taking care of my bills, I ordered a food scale so I can start weighing things. my portion containers
, measuring cups, and eyeballing things isn't cutting it.... so hopefully this helps. I've seen many comments about the positive side of weighing out your food, so I hope it's successful.... I tend to only eat solid food during my eight-ten hour shifts at work, so my lunch box will become properly packed from now on.

I combine planning my meals in the food diary at least a day ahead and weighing as I prepare my plate. That seems the easiest way to be accurate. Good luck with the new approach, KaraJanice!

Good idea. I'm still baffled on weighing butter though. Most units in the diary list as tbsp. On the scale an oz of butter is more like 3-4 tbsp. Thoughts anyone?
