I just posted this on Facebook. Wanted to share with you all too.

I’ve been working on my physical health for the last 15 months or so after I reached my adult high weight (again) and was tired of being overweight.

I’ve been working on better eating for several years, but reverted back to old habits. My bugaboos are typically burgers, pizza, Mexican food, pastries, beer... I’ll stop there. Many more foods I could add that are in the same area and the calories add up really quick.

As everyone knows, the weight gain doesn’t happen overnight, it happens week in/week out, year over year. I’ve kept track on the Fat Secret app for 7 years. I know how it goes.

Anyway, I’m proud to have lost 50 lbs I’ve the last 15 months and 35 since January 1. It’s been a grind, but I’ve learned some things. I’ve learned to eat well 90% of the time. I’ve learned to eat and drink treats on occasion without going to excess over and over again.

Thank you to Jess for her ongoing encouragement and joining me in this journey. She’s looking great! She inspires me and get me to the gym more and is setting a great example for eating.

I also want to thank the people on Fat Secret. This application has allowed me to really understand what I eat. It guides my less healthy eating decisions and is a great record of how I got to where I am today.

If you’re struggling with your fitness. I suggest FS for keeping track of what you eat. It’s the best way to truly understand what your doing to yourself with food. It’s free.
