Fam I need help. I'm away from home for 5 weeks. I try to eat well with the take aways but I struggle to keep up during the day. I'm attending classes for atleast 5 hours a day and I find myself snacking on sweets and chips during classes. I lose focus if I don't snack....how can I avoid this or what kind of snack can I consider that won't ruin my progress

I'm only going to weigh in next month when I go home ...So I can only track my weight through the way my clothes fit

good morning x if I was you, I'd prepare a snack pack for the day. I pack a bunch of snacks for work to take on a Monday (so that I don't have to plan every day). Things like apples and bananas, Woolworths make these delicious veggie cakes that are way tastier than rice cakes (more filling and also stay fresher for longer I find). I also like snacking on sliced ham, laughing cow wedges, mini cheddars, cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices. Best advice I can give is just to plan ahead and not rely on café snacks to get you through 💙 good luck

Like Shereen, I would recommend prepacking your snacks. It does depend on what you like, but I would pack carrot sticks, almonds, an apple, maybe a bit of chocolate... Things that also "crunch" when you eat them because often part of snacking is hearing yourself eat. Pack the snack box and know that is your limit for the day's snacks. Things like small quantities of nuts are high in fat and can get you over the actual craving. Best thing is to avoid is sugary things like sweets. Don't eat it or buy it as a snack. Also take a bottle of water and drink it. Sometimes you are thirsty - not hungry. :)

Boiled eggs are also good... Protein keeps you satiated longer. And like Ms Cornwall said-water!!! Water can also be fun... Add lemon or mint / strawberries / etc to your bottle the night before, and the next day you have a tasty, healthy, guilt free drink loaded with good stuff to help you through the day.
