It is Independence Day! It's not looking to be a good one for my diet, but as I did yesterday I will just try to muddle through with minimum damage. Actually, yesterday's fare probably was worse for me than anything I will be presented with today. We will grill steaks early in the afternoon, and this evening we are going to pick up fast food takeout and sit out and watch fireworks. The fast food will probably be my only challenge, probably from Sonic. I'm leaning towards the grilled chicken wrap. If I can stick with that choice, I should be okay. Yesterday we had lunch at the food court at the mall (I chose Asian food), and a birthday dinner at On The Border, where the menu has changed since last time I ate there and I had a difficult time finding healthy. The drinks we ordered were definitely not good for me. That said, I didn't really snack yesterday, and I went with a grilled chicken fajita with lots of veggies. Food-wise I probably didn't go way over my calorie limit, but the two celebratory drinks probably jacked the numbers up. I don't want to weigh in today. I just keep telling myself, it's a holiday weekend and you have family here...do your best and don't fret over those few meals out that you can't control. Life will be back to normal soon.
