Mom & I both caught the crud. Coughing, sore throat, fever ,chills, & upset stomach.
Mom is the misery loves company, gotta eat lots to get better type. I'm the everyone go away, leave me alone, don't eat when I'm sick type.
Spent all day yesterday at her house playing cards, watching tv, cooking. Then she sent me home for the night. I offered to stay over but she said no she was good,& I'd rest better at home. I called her this morning to see how she was doing. She told me today was rest day, & stay home. I'd made a pot of homemade chicken & dumplings ,& pot of homemade veggie soup yesterday, so she has plenty to eat.
Hard part about staying home is that I really miss Riley. It's hard to be home & not have my girl here. She slept in bed with me at night, usually laying on my stomach or chest like a cat. Hard to sleep, missing her warm body, feeling her little heartbeat ,the way she would make little chuffing sounds in her sleep, & cuddling up together watching tv. Or if I was making something to eat she'd sit there with her head cocked watching. Or if I got a piece of fruit she always had to have some too. Just seeing the fruit basket in my kitchen right now is makes me cry.
Ignore me, I'm just whining. I'm not a good sick person on a good day. Would have wrote in my regular diary but the darn things just up & gone missing & was too tired to look for it.
