Depression defeated me in the morning. I am 4 hours late on breakfast, so I have to make up for it. I am eating bread because I can’t afford to cut carbs this week and I want to slowly decrease them instead of going under this week. I’m taking baby steps.

It may actually work due to a fast of an extra 4 hours. 2 pieces of bread is ok just watch the carbs the rest of the day😊 it’s all trial and error

Not sure what the white bread added to your meal. Just a few carbs. You could easily had some bacon fat and eaten the same amount of calories it that was your object with the breakfast to make a certain number of calories.

My object with this breakfast was to get full. I am avoiding actual snacks. And I lost my battle to the bread. You love bread and it is the hardest thing to give up.

I'm kinda with Liz. If you wanted the bread, fine. If it was a caloric goal there's always cheese.

Like English Muffins for bread and some research is saying that sourdough is the way to go with bread. Also using low carb tortillas instead of muffins for fewer net carbs. See what works for you!

Yeah. I wasn’t worried about calories at all. Just wanting bread. I ate all that our of hunger, and need for protein, not for calories.

It is good to know that the bread was eaten because you wanted it not of necessity. Do not feel that bad. In the way you have framed your diet you can easily make up for it. Hang in there. We are all works in progress

I encourage you to do things 'your own way'. I 'try some things', may later feel that 'Hmm not the result I wanted' but, I *must* go through the experience and come to my *own* decisions.

I love bread too. I am not on a low carb diet, but I keep an eye on them. I have reduced the amount of bread I eat, but still have either 1/4 bagel or half English muffin most mornings for breakfast.

Bread is no issue here. Less than 20% of your calories. If your interested in losing weight, you will get hungry and not feel full. New feelings to get used to. Once you get used to a lower calorie diet you won’t feel hungry as often.
