Today I’m starting my journey. I’m tracking the normal things I eat before my diet. I started dieting a little bit already, but not well enough. I recently discovered low carb diets. I set myself up for low carb/high fat like the Keto, but I’m just focused on keeping my protein high and my carbs down. So the fat content will probably just come with the territory of eating more protein.

370 pounds one week ago at the doctor office. That is what I’m starting at. My goal is 220. That is my weight when I met my wife and I was in really good shape. Wish me luck everyone, because I need to lose this weight.

I recall earlier you were going to ask the Doc for clearance on your weight loss plan. What did the Doc say?

I haven’t seen her yet. But I’m also not full blown cutting out carbs. I’ve already been told to increase my protein intake, so I did that. And I dropped my carbs by half (that’s still over a hundred). I feel great from doing this and I doubt she will argue with that as long as I’m doing what I should be doing. When I first started going for my own check ups (only my kids saw her for 3 years, she is amazing) it was for the weight loss. Then the heavily severe depression took over because of how bad it is. I’ve even had diet pills that didn’t kill my appetite. I didn’t alter anything outside of dropping bread and not eating fruit, instead almonds.

Okay - I just wondered if there were health issues that needed to be considered.

Honestly, my depression is the only one. I have avoided all of the other issues besides my stomach being pretty weak and I easily get diarrhea, though if I do an intermittent fast it does help and then my stomach is good to go until I screw it I again.
