I weigh the same today as I did on October 7. That would be good if I was trying to maintain. But I still have 30 lbs to my goal, so it's not so good. My carbs are super low, and even though I haven't recorded my food for a few days, I know I have kept the carbs super low. I'm tired of the clothes I have now, because I don't have very many, thinking that I'm going to drop another size soon.

It's hard not to get discouraged, especially with all the research I've done and I've tried what the experts recommend, and it's not working. Maybe a low-carb calorie deficit is what I'm going to have to do. I think my calories were so low for so long that my body just doesn't want to let it go anymore. I've started lifting weights at the gym, still hiking.

Sorry, I know my journals are usually positive, I just am feeling discouraged today. Almost 2 months without a loss is hard to take when I'm not "cheating." I'll start recording food again, any input is appreciated, although I've found that what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another.

I hope you can find a kick start. Maybe weights will help. I know this isn't the weight we want to be (we're pretty similar in stature), but keep working. I've been 'stuck' pretty much from 187-197 for 2 years now. I want that 170 back!

I also hope something changes for you; you may want to increase the protein to at least 100grams per day for a while just for an experiment! I dunno..I usually watch my sodium (under 2400), fiber (above 25g) and drink three liters of water a day when I am in a slump. Just input - as you requested.

thank you for the input! I may increase protein, but I think I'm ok there. Fiber I don't list on my food diary, but I take a 20 gm supplement. I drink a lot of water, too. I think I just need to eat less food, which I've done today and plan to continue. Thanks for input, I think weights will help too.
