Had a bad day; had a workman doing some work and coincidentally there was a short in some wire that smelled like fire somewher in another part of the house and I panicked. He didn't panic. Took awhile, but all was fixed in the end-Until we narrowed the awful chemical smell down to a "bad" power strip into which I had several appliances plugged, I nearly lost it. All's well that end's well! BUT my real problem is that I have been obsessed with something or other every night for the past week and don't get to sleep until early morning. This has thrown me off both emotionally and physically, and I have GAINED weight-I seem to be sabataging myself and not allowing myself to get out from under 153; got down to 150 for the challenge weigh in on Saturday and am way up in only 3 days. I think that I need to get good sleep and then everything else will follow.....thanx for "listening"!!!

No harm done with your electrical problem so take a deep breath and try to relax. These problems shall pass. Hang in there!

At least you found out about the electrical problem before something really bad happened! Phew!! Hope you have had some better night's since then. What's the status on the weight at the moment??

hmmm....around 150.5 (after last weigh in) which is pretty good, and tomorrow I will check it again and try to adjust any gains so that on Sat. I am at least back to 150.5.......I haven't been able to go below my lowest of 151, and not that I am trying that hard. Have taken many liberties-something is holding me back and I can't quite put my finger on it. I'm putting up all sorts of road blocks, (self imposed insomnia, eating incorrectly more often). I am challenging myself to turn this s--t around!!!!!!!!! I need an alarm to put me to sleep=this seems to be my biggest obstacle in feeling healthier and getting thiner!!!!!!!!!

Insomnia is horrible. I had it when I was 16 really badly. I didnt sleep for 5 days once, even though I was exhausted and desperate to sleep. THings that helped me was hot baths, warm drinks before bed, sleeping tablets, and putting some of the things that were stressing me out onto paper just before bed in a list. The idea being that the problems were on the paper and no longer in my head for the time being. Lack of sleep really does contribute to weight gain. You are up for longer, so get hungry more, or bored, and because you are exhausted in the day its easier to go for the bad food choices. REALLY hope you get this sorted! x
