My "RDI" went down again. And my points are going to drop in 5lbs.

I'm aiming for a 3 pound loss this week. May was a rough month for me, and I just want to be out of the 140s. So I will drink my water, I will exercise. I do all of that stuff anyway. But if I put in extra time, then it might be easier.

I'm back to doing my crunches, even though I hate them. I always get rug burn on my back. But I need to exert the energy. I don't think I'll ever have rock hard abs. But that's okay. As long as the stomach is flat, that's all that matters.

The Awareness walk this weekend was awesome. A lot of money was raised, and Joe and I are going to start getting involved with the Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Network. Joe and I walked everyday this weekend and on Saturday we even went swimming, which was fun.

Joe has told me that he's going to take a more pro-active stance in his health and weight, which makes me very happy. I never want to feel like I was forcing my diet on him. Even though he ate healthy with me, because I prepare the meals sometimes.

Well that's it, wish me lucky on the 3 I'm trying to lose this week. It's going to be a challenge. But I will hopefully get there :)

Good luck! You may consider buying a yoga/pilates mat for crunches, so you don't get rug burn. Basic ones aren't usually too pricey. Or you can try just putting a towel or pillowcase down so your back doesn't rub on the carpet.

Also, I absolutely hate that as we get thinner, we have to eat even LESS to keep losing weight. SOOO NOT FAIR! Lol.

Ali I will get back on my anti-crunch soap box. It's next to impossible to get flat abs from crunches. Look into doing more pilates type moves, planks, side planks, etc. Doing regular old crunches is mostly just a way to stress your back. Your ab muscles are only active during a small part of a regular crunch. Just do the little bottom part of the crunch and pull your abs up and in. Sorry--I can't help it. Google "daily candy tracy anderson" and look for the beach ready workout. Some different ab exercises you actually feel in your abs and not your back. Good luck with the 3 lb goal this week.

Alli, u know ur gonna lose that 3 this week! And if not, I guarantee it'll happen by early next week! You're doing everything in the healthiest way possible, so be proud of yourself for that. :)

Hi allicat! Ankle weights are inexpensive and an effective way to pin your legs to the floor. It makes doing crunches of whatever type a lot easier. I use two sets, one 5 pound and one 15 pound on each leg. Sometimes I watch TV while doing the crunches. You can also hold a position midway through the crunch. Needless to say they are good for other exercises as well. Keep up the outstanding work! :-)
