It's a beautiful foggy morning in Portland, and I'm going hiking around Multnomah Falls today. My knee is back to normal, I've settled my daughter into her new dorm room, and I'm trying to make the most of my last few days of vacation. As for the eating/drinking part....Not doing too bad with the eating, although having a lot more calories than I normally would. For anything that I've eaten that is out of the ordinary for me, I've turned away 3 things that prior to weight loss, I would have eaten. Last night I made seared fresh halibut that was out of this world, which wouldn't have been bad, but I also made a roasted garlic and sun-dried tomato tapenade to put on it. Avoided bread, whew!
Here's what is so good about this (to me): 1. I'm not doing any binge eating 2. I'm not eating by accident 3. I'm not snacking 4. I'm not eating just for something to do or to make me feel better 5. I'm savoring every bite, and making sure to think about what I'm eating and appreciate it.
Life is just so good, I am thankful that I am healthy and can enjoy it so much.
