I did really well last night for dinner until dessert came. I had a little "shot" of pecan pie + 2 cookies a friend brought and it ended up being over 500 calories. Empty calories. Delicious calories! However, I made good choices for the rest of my food, including a side dish that was an entire head of cauliflower with a cheese sauce. It was delicious but so full of sodium that I was up twice in the night drinking water like a camel. That's probably why I'm actually half a pound lighter today! I know, it will probably take a couple of days for the calories to catch up with me, but I've got my food with me at work, so no more temptations. (Except those cookies which the gal brought and left in the dreaded break room! Must avoid that room like the plague today because cookies, especially with jam in them, are a huge weakness for me).
